The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) is a futures exchange under the direct supervision of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). It is a key financial infrastructure in China committed to serving the real economy. I. Qualification Requirements
(I) Basic
1. Be patriotic; support the Party’s line, principles, and policies; consciously abide by national laws and regulations as well as organization and disciplinary rules; care about and support the growth of China’s capital market;
2. Maintain honesty, integrity, diligence, and self-discipline; possess an upstanding reputation, moral code, and professional ethics with no adverse records; work with team spirit and possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; agree with the culture and values of the Shanghai Futures Exchange and accept its arrangements;
3. Be physically and mentally healthy; be not over 40 years of age in principle (i.e., born after June 30, 1982);

5. Meet CSRC and SHFE rules on avoidance of employment-related conflict of interest.
(II) Ideal
1. Possess at least five consecutive years of experience in the position of interest at a major domestic or overseas organization;
2. Hold the relevant industry certification or skill certificates.

1. International Legal Specialist (1)
Responsibilities:
Manage the legal risks associated with SHFE’s international programs in accordance with its strategic plans and program objectives, including drafting and improving contracts and rules, performing legal and compliance reviews, and conducting research on domestic and international laws and cross-border regulatory cooperation.
Requirements:
(1) Hold a Master’s Degree or higher;
(2) Hold a degree in law or a related discipline;
(3) Have worked in a market supervision position at a financial regulatory authority or a securities or futures exchange, or in a securities or futures position in a major international law firm, or in an economic research or financial management position at a government department for economy or technology, or in a relevant research or program management position at a university or research institute. The candidate should in principle have worked in such a position for seven years or more and in a mid-level management or industry expert capacity at the same employer for three consecutive years or more;
(4) Possess a global perspective, familiar with the financial and legal frameworks of common law jurisdictions as well as the securities and futures regulatory policies of overseas markets, possess strong expertise on and can take lead in the subject matter; proficient and comfortable with working in English; strong analytical, execution, coordination, and oral and written communication skills; meticulous, prudent, with a strong sense of responsibility, and can thrive in a teamwork environment.
2. International Audit and Supervision Specialist (1)
Responsibilities:
Manage SHFE’s audit and supervisory activities in accordance with its strategic plans and program objectives, including analyzing corporate financial reports for truthfulness and fairness and issuing audit opinions, analyzing the accounting, audit, and supervisory rules of domestic and overseas markets, and promoting SHFE’s audit and supervisory cooperation with overseas organizations.
Requirements:
(1) Hold a Master’s Degree or higher;
(2) Hold a degree in law, audit, finance, or a related discipline;
(3) Have worked in an audit or supervision position at a financial regulatory authority, major international accounting firm, or independent audit regulatory authority, or in an economic research or financial management position at a government department for economy or technology, or in a relevant research or program management position at a university or research institute. The candidate should in principle have worked in such a position for seven years or more and in a mid-level management or industry expert capacity at the same employer for three consecutive years or more;
(4) Possess a global perspective, and familiar with the Chinese and U.S. accounting rules and the rules and regulatory and professional requirements of the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board); proficient and comfortable with working in English; strong analytical, execution, coordination, and oral and written communication skills; meticulous, prudent, with a strong sense of responsibility, and can thrive in a teamwork environment.
