As a major pathway for recycling scrap aluminum, producing one ton of ‌recycled cast aluminum alloy‌ generates approximately ‌3.6% of the carbon emissions‌ compared to primary aluminum production (using thermal power), while saving ‌3.4 tons of standard coal‌ and ‌22 tons of water‌ per ton.
