Fuel oil is one of the residual products from the refining of crude oil after the lighter components such as gasoline, kerosene, and diesel are separated out. Fuel oil can be classified by sulfur content into high sulfur fuel oil and low sulfur fuel oil. Fuel oil is mainly used in oil refining, petrochemical, transportation, architecture, and metallurgical industries.
